During our philanthropy
day of Fall Formal Recruitment, we created over 100 good luck treat bags that were each filled with a decorated water bottle,
a good luck card, a box of raisins, and candy treats. The athletes will be delighted to receive these when we hand-deliver
them to the athletes this Saturday, September 22nd at the Special Olympic volleyball tournament in Downers Grove!
In honor of
Alpha Sigma Alpha’s connection with the S. June Smith Center, there is a T-shirt fundraiser to raise money for the center!
These shirts are gray and are designed with our letters in yellow with a white outline along with the S. June Smith Center
logo in blue and green. A short sleeve T-shirt is $12, a long sleeve shirt is $18, and a hooded sweatshirt is $25. All proceeds
of these shirts benefit the S. June Smith Center! Please let me know if you would like to order one!
There are many
opportunities to complete your community service hours! Continue to check the philanthropy bulletin board for information
on the available opportunities for hours in the local area. Our next community service opportunity will be held during the
first few weeks of October here at the house. We will be having a sisterhood
event to create Halloween decorations and cards for the children at the S. June Smith Center!

Got any old
laser toner cartridges, inkjet cartridges, or old cell phones??? Donate these items to Special Olympics Illinois! This recycling
program has raised over $100,000 for the Special Olympic athletes of Illinois! So turn your throwaways into gold by dropping
